The Utterly Uninteresting and Unadventurous Tales of Fred, the Vampire Accountant by Drew Hayes

Hey, readers. I know you have never heard of me before but think about this. I didn’t know this book existed before a friend recommended it a few days back. I love it now, and I think you will grow to like me too. So, without further ado, let’s dive into Fred’s world.

What I love about Fredrick Frankford Fletcher

The protagonist is hilarious without meaning to be. That’s what makes him so relatable. The entire series consists of five books and with the progression of each book you will fall in love with him a little more. Kind, compassionate and being a pro at avoiding confrontation makes Fred stand out. He drinks blood from blood bags to avoid conflicts. How much adorable can he be? And yet, he will do everything in his power to protect the ones he loves. The unique friends he has add to the charm of the book.

What I do not like about the book

I hate the love interest of the protagonist. She is extremely capable, brave and intelligent but she still irritates me. Due to momentary lapse of judgement I even found myself rooting for the antagonist in the final book. Can you believe it? Hey, she drove me nuts and I am sticking to that story.

Rating for the book: I give it a solid 4 out of 5.

Check it out and let me know what you think. Was I right? Even if the answer is no, I would still like to know your opinion. Leave a comment below.
